LTM France was founded in 1960 and initially producing windings, transformers and converters. In 1970, when OSRAM introduced the new HMI lamps, LTM became the first manufacturer in the world to provide ignitors and magnetic ballasts to allow the use of those lamps, and at the same time, started to manufacture its own line of HMI lighting fixtures.
LTM was the first company to work closely with the lamps manufacturers and launched its first range of products to replace the obsolete arc lights with daylight Fresnel lighting fixtures, and now offers a complete line of HMI’s, from the 24W MiniPar to the 18,000 watt Cinepar 18K:.
As a result of its success in the HMI market, LTM was able to open a subsidiary in Hollywood as soon as 1976, and introduced the HMI technology in the U.S.A. In June 2007 at Cine Gear Expo in Los Angeles, LTM received an award in recognition of its 30th anniversary in the U.S.A., and confirmed LTM’s record of excellence and innovation.
In 2009, LTM joined the Fokia group of companies, and with the resources and marketing experience of Fokia, LTM continues to be an innovator in the TV and motion picture lighting industry, and recently introduced its new lightweight 18/12K SE Cinepar.
